Good Morning

It is a pleasant day in Santa Clarita this Friday morning! The hotel is already full with excitement with everyone either checking in or getting ready for the race. We’re getting ready for the bike and vehicle inspection at 12:30pm, I’ll send you some photos when we’re done with this process… Michael

Finally here!

Its 1:15pm we just checked in to the host hotel in Santa Clarita, we spent a total of 26 hours on the road this includes some breaks along the way. At the moment everyone is pretty tired and after we unload the van we’re looking forward to a short afternoon nap.
I’ll let you know how the bike and vehicle inspection goes tomorrow.

Day Two of Travel

It's day 2 of our odyssey. We're about 4 hours north of LA! We ended up driving through the night...Michael

6 hours hours into the adventure

Portland & rush hour, fun... We just picked up Les and we're heading south almost 6 hours into our adventure! Michael

Hi everyone
Marla, Frank & I are on our way south to FC508. We'll stop in Portland to meet up with Les my 3rd crew member. Most likely we'll spend the night in Ashland. As you can see our van is loaded with all kinds of gear... Michael

Update - As We Near RACE DAY

The start of the Furnace Creek 508 Race is only 4 days away and the final preparations are almost completed.
I’m looking forward to this year’s event since it looks like this will be an interesting challenge, there are some strong riders registered and of course the temperature is high.
Currently it is about 110F during the day and Sunday night at 11pm it was still 90F in Death Valley, and the forecast for next weekend will be around 100F…

Dave Remington has with much regret withdrawn from this year’s FC508 due to unexpected health problems, keep your eye out for him racing next year!
